Over the past 8 years I have tried pre-packaged dehydrated camp foods from all over Australia, New Zealand and the USA. Each time moving on to the next one because it was lighter ... freeze dried ... organically grown ... better packaged. Then 2 years ago the guide for the Larapinta Trail showed me the OnTrackMeals. Not a lot of water on a desert track, so it made sense to carry them. Now they are the only meals I carry-even in the snow where there is plenty of water!
The Slow Cooked Australia Steak has got to be the most delicious pre-cooked, pre-packed camping meal sold in Australia particularly when paired with some vegetables. So that's why I also love the All Day Breakfast combing meat and vegetables in one packet. Actually I love all of the OnTrackMeals. Just heat a pot of water and warm them up.
